Lust NAS Matthew 5.27-28

"You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL
NOT COMMIT ADULTERY'; but I say to you
that everyone who looks at a woman with lust
for her has already committed adultery with her
in his heart.

  1. Purity Matthew 5.27-28

Make No Provision NAS Romans 13.13-14

Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

  1. Purity Romans 13.13-14

Flee Immorality NAS 1 Corinthians 6.18-20 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

  1. Purity 1 Corinthians 6.18-20

Walk By The Spirit NAS Galatians 5.16-17

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

  1. Purity Galatians 5.16-17

Put On The New Self NAS
Ephesians 4.22-24
That, in reference to your former manner of
life, you lay aside the old self, which is being
corrupted in accordance with the lusts of
deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit
of your mind, and put on the new self, which
in the likeness of God has been created in
righteousness and holiness of the truth.

  1. Purity Ephesians 4.22-24

Your Sanctification NAS 1 Thessalonians 4.3-5

For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God;

  1. Purity 1 Thessalonians 4.3-5

A People For His Own Possession NAS Titus 2.11-15 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

  1. Purity Titus 2.11-15

Temptation NAS James 1.13-15

Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

  1. Purity James 1.13-15

Confess Your Sins NAS James 5.16

Therefore, confess your sins to one another,
and pray for one another so that you may be
healed. The effective prayer of a righteous
man can accomplish much.

  1. Purity James 5.16

Be Holy NAS 1 Peter 1.13-16 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."

  1. Purity1 1 Peter 1.13-16 Will Not Inherit NAS 1 Corinthians 6.9-11 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Present Yourself To God NAS Romans 6.12-13 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

  1. Purity Romans 6.12-13

Crucified The Flesh NAS Galatians 5.24-25

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have
crucified the flesh with its passions and
desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also
walk by the Spirit.

  1. Purity Galatians 5.24-25

Taking Every Thought Captive NAS 2 Corinthians 10.3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

  1. Purity 2 Corinthians 10.3-5

Vessel For Honor NAS 2 Timothy 2.20-22 Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

  1. Purity 2 Timothy 2.20-22

Dead To Immorality NAS Colossians 3.5-7 Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience, and in them you also once walked, when you were living in them.

  1. Purity Colossians 3.5-7

Resist The Devil NAS James 4.7-8

Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and
he will flee from you. Draw near to God and
He will draw near to you. Cleanse your
hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts,
you double-minded.

  1. Purity James 4.7-8

God Will Judge NAS Hebrews 13.4

Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

Hope Fixed On Him NAS
1 John 3.2-3
Beloved, now we are children of God, and it
has not appeared as yet what we will be. We
know that when He appears, we will be like
Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
And everyone who has this hope fixed on
Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

  1. Purity 1 John 3.2-3

Applying All Diligence NAS 1 Peter 1.5-9 Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins.
