Conclusion of your Worldview Paper

Professor Jay Wegter

  1. Do you how, and in what ways religious freedom guards all other freedoms?
  2. Do you know why throughout the course of Western history the closer a nation was to the Bible, the more extensive its freedoms were?
  3. Do you know why when citizens are consciously subject to God in Christ, they are most capable of self-government?
  4. Do you know why secularists have no transcendent rational source of human dignity, worth, equality, freedom, or meaning?
  5. Do you know why secularists are incurably utopian, and why utopian schemes, when attempted have always produced dystopic conditions?
  1. Do you know why secularists have demonstrated historically that they are highly vulnerable to totalitarian forms of government?
  2. Do you know why every culture that has worshipped and advocated illicit sexual activity has also been violent (have become cultures of death) treating human life cheaply?
  3. Do you know why every society in history, in the interest of being civilized has had to answer the question: “How shall evil be restrained?” Do you know in what ways that the gospel answers that question differently than secular ideologies?
  1. Do you know why sexual and gender anarchy is an index sin which measures the degree to which a nation has descended into apostasy? (Romans chapter one records the spiritual downward movement of apostasy: a worldview revolution, a spiritual revolution, a sexual revolution, a homosexual/gender revolution, a global utopian revolution).
  2. Do you know why, that as sexual and gender anarchy become more widespread and egregious, statism increases the strength of its grip?

  1. Do you know why the denial of the truth of mankind made in the image of God has provided the philosophical soil within which identity politics has developed?
  2. Can you give some of the reasons why biblical truth is now being labeled hate speech?
  3. Do you know why our government is using our nation’s education system to teach its state-sponsored metanarrative, and that ultimately this state-sponsored worldview will be accompanied by the legislation necessary to make it mandatory?
  4. Do you know why the dominion mandate defined in Psalm 8 and Genesis 2 requires the naming of different aspects of the creation? For, one cannot properly steward (i.e. rule over) something in the creation to the glory of God unless one knows what it is, where it came from, its purpose, design and function, and its value and its destiny. The human fetus is a perfect example. For a pelican in an egg is now considered worth more than a baby in a womb.
  1. Do you know why secularists, since they recognize no transcendent law or no transcendent Law-giver, are left only with pragmatism and socially constructed norms? For them, new laws are always evolving (a democratizing process moving toward utopia). Why is this so dangerous to human worth, dignity, and freedom?
  2. Do you know why secularists seek to define what’s in the box (in the creation) by what is in the box (their speculations about the creation) as if there were no word from the Creator who is outside the box? As Francis Schaeffer says, “Nature eats up grace.” When that takes place, it sets conditions for cruelty since it is assumed that there is no life-giving word from God and no life-giving Savior from God. If nature (red in tooth and claw), and not grace, is our ultimate guide, cruelty is unavoidable.
